Classical method: A method that uses the counting technique to determine the probability of an event.
Equally likely outcomes: Two or more outcomes that have the same probability of occurring.
Probability Using Classical Approach:
The classical method of calculating probabilities does not require conducting a probability experiment. Instead, the classical method uses the counting technique to determine the probability of an event and requires equally likely outcomes. Equally likely outcomes occur when two or more outcomes have the same probability of occurring. For example, when rolling a single die, each of the six outcomes in the sample space, {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}, has an equal chance of occurring.
